Many members of the Standridge Family are descended from early SC pioneers, James Standridge, a Revolutionary War Veteran, and Thomas Standridge, who were living in old Pendleton District, SC as early as 1790. James was a veteran of the American Revolution who is buried in Oconee County, SC. Thomas’ son, Alexander Standridge, was an early settler in Arkansas Territory. Other family members were early settlers of Franklin and Habersham Counties in GA and Cherokee County, NC. DNA evidence has traced the family back into MD, NC, SC, GA, TN, IN, and IL.
Field trips, tours, and research opportunities are in the reunion plans. This year’s reunion theme is “My Family, My Strength.”
