The Acorn Tigers defeated Bergman 54-49 Friday, October 28th in the Acorn Classic.
The Tigers outscored Bergman 26-21 in the first half, which proved to be the difference in the game, as both teams scored 28 point in the second half with the Tigers taking a five point victory.
Bissell led the Tigers with 19 points, shooting 60% on six of 10 shooting from the floor, with two assists, two rebounds and two steals, while Jacinto scored 12 points, shooting 45% on five of 11 shooting from the floor, and 50% from 3-point range making two of four attempts, with five assists, three rebounds and three steals.
Abbott scored nine points, shooting 60% on three of five shooting from the floor, and three of four shooting from the free throw line, with four assists, one block, and eight rebounds with a pair of steals.
Cottrell chipped in with six points, shooting 60% on three of five shooting from the floor, with one assist, six rebounds and one steal, while Bates added four points, shooting 22% from the floor on two of nine shooting from the floor, with one rebound.
Frost dished out one assist, grabbed two reboundsand made one steal.
The Tigers shot 46% from the floor and 76% from the free throw line.
The Acorn Tigers knocked off Caddo Hills 50-46 Saturday, October 29th, also in the Acorn Classic.
The Tigers edged the Indians 14-13 in the first quarter, and outscored Caddo Hills 13-9 in the second to take a 27-22 lead at the half.
Caddo Hills outscored Acorn 15-10 in the third quarter to tie the game at 37 all.
Acorn scored 13 points in the fourth quarter while limiting Caddo Hills to nine to take the 50-46 victory.
Tyler Bates led the Tigers with 18 points, while Aaron Bissell scored 11. Zak Abbott scored nine points and Daniel Cottrell scored six.
