Annette Schroeder

shroederpicAnnette Schroeder, 63, passed away on February 27, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, and friend.

Annette was born in Little Rock. She graduated from Bryant High School in 1967. Annette earned her BSE in Mathematics at Henderson State University. She taught high school math for 27 years and inspired several generations of students. She was an owner of the Fish Net Restaurant in Mena, Arkansas.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents James and Louise Myers.

She is survived by her husband Richard Schroeder, of Prairie Grove; a sister Sue Cooper, of Albany, Kentucky;  her daughter Christy Henry and husband David, of Prairie Grove; a son Kyle Cannon and wife Gretchen, of Hatfield; a son Matthew Cannon and wife Leah, of Mena; a son Mark Cannon and wife Luci, of Mena; and 11 beautiful grandchildren.

Arrangements for cremation were made with Gonzalaez Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.

A memorial service has been planned for Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mena. There will be another memorial service at her church in Prairie Grove at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Annette Cannon Schroeder Scholarship Fund, the account has been set-up at the Union Bank of Mena, PO Box 898, Mena, AR 71953. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of the Cossatot River School District.
