Annie Josephine Ralls


Annie Josephine Ralls was born May 4, 1931 in Cove, Arkansas.

“Mrs. Jo” spent the last 17 years volunteering in the Mena Public Schools and working with students that needed loving, care and academic help.  She was always ready to help others. She dearly loved her “children” from school and followed their progress all the way to graduation. Her “children” were the main thing that kept her going since her husband died in 2000.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sidney Ralls, her parents Grace and Cleburn Milam, brothers, Lloyd Milam, Marvin Earl Milam, Curtis Baker, sister, Winnie Jean Cecil, and infant daughter, Pamela Jean Ralls.

She leaves two daughters, Yvette May and husband Jerry, and Paulette Crawford

Grandchildren: Chris May and partner Kayla Borin, Kelly Joe Crawford and wife Kelly, and Glen Wayne Crawford, Jr. and partner Della Farley.

Great-grandchildren: Olivia May, Hayden May, Gavin Crawford, Kayla Crawford, Noah Crawford, Nick Crawford, Nathan Crawford, Khloe Crawford, Sydney Crawford, and Bradley Crawford.

Many nieces, nephews, and friends

Memorial service will be Monday, July 27, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. at Beasley Wood Chapel with Brother Donnie Jewell officiating under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Louise Durham School Library.
