Birdwell’s girlfriend issued a statement following the recovery of his body:

“In this time of loss, Kevin’s family and myself have been shown a great amount of love and support from friends in the Springhill and Mena communities.
Personally, I have had many people come to me asking if they can help contribute to funeral services and his monument because flowers just don’t seem to fit Kevin.

With so many people asking and showing love and support, I have set up the Kevin Birdwell Memorial fund at Regions Bank in Springhill, which has the account number 0249862804 for anyone who would like to contribute.
I would just like to say thank you to each and everyone again who has shown love to myself, Kevin, and Kevin’s family during this time.
The only things keeping us going are the power of prayer, knowing he’s in heaven watching over us, and getting #justiceforkevin
