“I look forward to serving Polk County for another two years in this position; serving as Coroner is not an easy job, but it is rewarding serving the people of Polk County. I feel the people of this county deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, especially in the circumstances that I serve in. I have the experience, qualities and professionalism and also have a very good working relationship with the Sheriff’s Office, EMS, local fire departments and fire responders and to remain as your Polk County Coroner,” states Bowser.
Bowser is the owner and operator of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. He has served in the funeral business for 20 years in Arkansas. He holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Arkansas State University in Mountain Home in Mortuary Science. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Arkansas and Oklahoma and is certified through the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I have managed funeral homes for the last 17 years.
Bowser is married to Stacey, a Registered Nurse who works in the Surgery Department at Mena Regional Health System ; they have three children Luke and Ashten who are 16 year old twins and Matthew who is 12. He is very involved in the community. He attends and is an active member of the First Baptist Church in Mena. He is an active member of the Mena Lions Club where he is currently serving as past president; he serves on the Board of Directors for the Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce.
