Mr. Carey Pat Carmack age 65, of Oden, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Oden.
Carey Pat was born November 1, 1952 in Oden, Arkansas to the late Monroe Carmack and the late Dorothy Aylor Carmack. Carey Pat worked for the United States Forest Service. Carey Pat loved prospecting for crystals anywhere he could find them. Carey Pat also enjoyed fishing (mainly catfishing) and loved his dog Lady. Carey Pat loved music and enjoyed playing both the guitar and piano. Throwing horseshoes and spending quality time with his family were among his favorites. Carey Pat dearly loved his entire family. They were the most important thing in his life. Carey Pat was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
Carey Pat is survived by Son Chris Carmack and wife Jeanne of Mt. Ida, Arkansas. Daughter Jennifer Paige Carmack of Royal, Arkansas. Grandchildren Brandon Carmack, Britany Pierce, Emi Lee Pardue, and William Lee “Trey” Long, III. Great Grandchildren Nohri Rain Lofton and Truston Pat Pierce. Brothers Kenneth Carmack and wife Ann of Clarksville, Tennessee; Douglas Carmack and wife Martha of Oden, Arkansas; Joe Carmack and wife Linda of Pine Ridge, Arkansas; Robert Carmack and wife Christine of Oden, Arkansas. Sisters Linda Faye Lenard and husband Ricky of Oden, Arkansas; Anita Willborg and husband Mark of Oden, Arkansas; Martha Lambert and husband Jerry of Pencil Bluff, Arkansas; Julie Carmack of Mt. Ida, Arkansas.
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Monroe and Dorothy Carmack, his brothers, James Roy Carmack and Steven Lee Carmack, and the mother of his two children Robbie Jean Carmack.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Oden, Arkansas with Brother Arlie Francis officiating. A visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Olive Church next to the cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tim Philpot, Marcus Willborg, Bob Willborg, Josh Carmack, Darvis Hughes and Gregory Carmack. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cotton Ellison and all employees of the US Forest Service, Mena-Oden Station.
