The Court Appointed Special Advocates of the Ouachitas, also known as CASA, will hold a new volunteer training for Polk County in September. The training will consist of 30 hours of training at the CASA office, just off of DeQueen Street in Mena. The training will also include courtroom observation.
CASA volunteers advocate for foster children, becoming a constant in their lives and ensuring a safe, thriving environment is given. Organizers believe that to be a CASA volunteer is to give a child a voice, and to give them a voice is to give them hope.
