Mena Lady Cats Softball Team Competes in Ashdown

The Mena LadyCats softball team competed in the Ashdown Invitational Tournament over the weekend. The LadyCats pounded Avery, Texas Friday night 15-5. The Cossatot River Lady Eagles saw their season come to an end Thursday afternoon in the Class 2A State Tournament at Quitman High School. The Acorn girls and the Dierks boys claimed the team titles Saturday night at the 2A Region 7 Conference Tournament in Mount Ida.
