Cossatot River Students Sweep State Fair Charolais Show

Troy Bailey, a freshman at Cossatot River High School won big at the Arkansas State Fair this year. Bailey secured Jr. Grand Champion Charolais Bull, Open Grand Champion Bull, and Arkansas Bred Champion (bred by Bowen Farms, Mena Ark.) ribbons and found his way into the Purple Circle. Bailey also won Grand Champion Bull at the Polk County Fair and also at Four States Fair in Texarkana. Parents are James and Charlene Bailey of Cove.

Other Cossatot River students that placed at the Arkansas State Fair include: Jacie Wilkerson, Supreme, Grand, and Reserve Heifer; Landrie Tadlock, Showmanship; Callie Smith, Showmanship; Zaide Morgan, Reserve Commercial Gilt; Abby Taylor, Sheep and Goat Skillathons.

With their wins, CRHS swept the entire Charolais show.
