Cristi was born January 20, 1976 to Darrell Fryar and Connie Carter-Miller. She attended elementary and middle school in Prescott, AR and graduated high school in 1994 with Honors from Caddo Hills High School in Norman, AR. She completed the Practical Nursing Program at RMCC in Mena, AR, then was accepted to the Registered Nursing Program at Eastern Oklahoma State University. Cristi was employed as an RN at Mena Regional Health Center. She worked in several departments including Med-Surg, Labor and Delivery, but most of her career as an RN was spent in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit.
The biggest highlights of Cristi’s life were the birth of her two boys. In April, 1996 her oldest son Stetson was born, and July 2001 her youngest Bradlee was born. Cristi enjoyed being Homeroom mom when they were younger, attending school events and ballgames. She also enjoyed taking them to Sunday school, church and church camps.
Cristi was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school when her health allowed. She enjoyed singing her favorite church hymns, “I’ll Fly Away” and “Amazing Grace”. She always looked forward to hearing the word from Reverend Jack Schoeppey on Sundays.
