She worked in the home-health nursing industry for a number of years, and she enjoyed crocheting for family and friends. During the past year, as a resident at The Gardens at Arkanshire in Springdale, Floy spent many weekends playing BINGO with her neighbors.
Floy is survived by six children: daughter Lynelle Spencer and husband, Greg, of Springdale; daughter Mary Gillean and husband, Don, of Powder Springs, Georgia; son Sam and wife, Cynthia of Valliant, Oklahoma; son Jim and wife, Sharon, of Schweinfurt, Germany; son Charlie and wife, Pam, of Haslet, Texas; and daughter Teresa Larucci and husband, Butch, of Glendale, Arizona; and brother, Jim Ridling, and his wife, Jean, of Tyler, Texas. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Louise Ridling and her sisters Sammie Torczynski and Bess Cardin.
Graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Pinecrest Cemetery in Mena (arrangements by Beasley Wood Funeral Home).
