Georgia Marie Bridges

Georgia-Bridges-1Georgia Marie Bridges, age 65, of Hatfield, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at her home.  She was born on Saturday, January 13, 1951 to George Robert and Lola Marie Fulton Witt in Grapevine, Texas.

Georgia loved life and treated people with respect and love.  She was an active member of the Christ’s Church of Cove and served the Lord with all her heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.  She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and her church family also.  She enjoyed the outdoors and going camping, and spending time in nature.  She worked ten years as a Farm Bureau Agent in Oklahoma City before retiring to Polk County.  Georgia loved watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and cheering for #5 Kasey Kahne in Nascar. Georgia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Georgia is survived by her husband, Ben Bridges of Hatfield; her son, Johnny Fisher of Trumann, Arkansas; her step-son, Michael Bridges of Tallahassee, Florida; two step-daughters, Debby Lamey of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Sherry Rogers, of McCloud, Oklahoma; one brother, Ron Witt, of Moore, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Christ’s Church of Cove on Six Mile Hill with Riley Christensen officiating.  Interment will be follow in the Six Mile Cemetery in Hatfield under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2016 from 9-5 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Lamey, Benny Lamey, Kim White, Mike Bridges, Howard Embrey and Larry Parton.
