He was born July 31, 1941 in Granite City, Illinois to James Richardson, Sr. and to the late Mary Passalaqua Richardson. Jim was married to the love of his life, Lorelei Oddo Goodner, on April 6, 2002. He was retired from American Greetings Corporation in Osceola after 30 years.
He had a passion for sports and could be found on fall Saturdays calling the Hogs with his family! He prized his golf game among all his sports and loved to meet friends and fellow golfers on the course for a good round. He loved a good meal and was a connoisseur of all types of food. Jim was a good man, a family man and was always up for a gathering, a ball game or a celebration. He had a faithful heart for the Lord and attended Grace Bible Church. He was a loving husband, son, father, stepfather, grandfather, step-grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all who knew him. He will be forever missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by wife Lorelei Richardson of the home; father James Richardson, Sr. of Athens, Tennessee; sons Brent Richardson and wife Heather of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Bart Richardson and wife Mandy of Osceola, Arkansas; step-sons Jason Goodner of Mena, Arkansas, Brad Scrivner of Knoxville, Tennessee; step-daughters Lisa Rose and husband Keith of Hatfield, Arkansas, Jolie Johnson of Mena, Arkansas; sister Carol Webb and husband Billy of Athens, Tennessee; grandchildren Blaine, Bryce, Ben and Laila Richardson; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives, and a host of friends too great to mention.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Passalaqua and his step-daughter Sarah Johnson Miller.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Grace Bible Church with Dr. Lamar Austin and Brother Keith Rose officiating. Interment will follow in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 1st from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at the Beasley-Wood Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Danny Miller, Kris Crawford, Jason Goodner, Brent Richardson, Bart Richardson, Bill Webb, III, Chris Webb and Mark Mancuso.
