Johnny Jones

John-JonesJohnny Jones, age 72, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in Mena.

He was born December 20, 1940 in Mena, Arkansas to the late John Stout Jones and the late Mary Helen Foley Jones.  He was an accounting manager for U.S. Electrical Motors for 33 years and was also a member of the United States Army National Guard.  He was happily married to Ginger Kelly Coogan and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Mr. Jones was active in his community and was a lifetime member of the Mena Elks Lodge, #781.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by wife Ginger Jones of the home; daughters Tracy Jauquez and husband Stephen of Yoakum, Texas, Sherri Crowley and husband Mike of Burkburnett, Texas; sister Wanda Sue Guttery of Mena, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Jones; 2 brothers Sidney and Tommy Jones; and 2 sisters Callie and Anna Pearl.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Brother Gary Harrison officiating.  Interment follows in Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday evening, November 1st, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John Puckett, Jerry Johnson, Wingo Johnson, George Rousseau, Jimmy Faulkner, and Garland Owens.  Honorary pallbearers are Bob Carver Employees: Bob Carver, Helen Sirmon, Cheryl Bates, Jackie Hook, Jason Hendrix, Sam Waters, James Simpson, Joe Mabry, Kevin Nault, James Cox, Joy James Buddy Blackburn and Russell.
