Thursday night, the Acorn Lady Tigers took on the Caddo Hills Lady Indians. The Lady Tigers came out playing great defense only allowing two points in the first quarter, earning a 12-0 lead before the other team could score. Up against a tough man-to-man defense, they held their own. Going into the half the Acorn Lady Tigers were still ahead with a 22 to 13 lead. The Caddo Indians came out strong after half time but the Tigers matched their intensity. Ending the third-quarter, the Tigers were still ahead by nine with a score of 33 to 24. Acorn’s fourth quarter was slow offensively only scoring 6 points, but finishing with a 39-34 win. Ashley Long and Faith Hill had a great game, leading the team in scoring. Teagan Vann was all over the court, scrapping for the ball all night. The Lady Tigers were also helped out by Morgan Fagan. She came out ready to play until the last buzzer. Advancing to the district Championship the Lady Tigers will play on Saturday at Acorn at 6 p.m.
