Nobody wants to live with chronic pain. However, we know that about 30% of individuals worldwide suffer from chronic pain issues, many of which have no identifiable cause. This Chronic Pain Self-Management Program (CPSMP) will offer individuals tools that will help manage their chronic pain issues in a way that is drug free.
This program is a 6-week research-based workshop designed to give you the tools to help you manage chronic pain. Led by trained facilitators, CPSMP is a partnership between the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service (UACES) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Centers on Aging.
Participants must participate in all 6 sessions of the program. The next workshop will be EVERY Thursday beginning March 21 through April 25 at the Polk County Extension Education Building at 211 DeQueen Street in Mena. Participants should register by Friday, March 15 by calling the Polk County Extension Office at 394-6018.
