Lawmakers in Little Rock are discussing a bill that would change how much time students spend outside the classroom and on the playground. The proposed bill looks to set a minimum number on the amount of time kids spend at recess in Arkansas elementary schools. The bill would affect public schools only. The bill would set a minimum of forty minutes a day of recess for kindergarten through sixth grade students. As of now, there is no set minimum with students getting anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes a day.
