BY BARBARA M. TOBIAS –
Your local gallery will kick off the new year with an exhibit of art in any media: sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, and fine crafts of all sorts. So no matter what artistic niche suits you best, you are likely to find something in that field on display. You will find lots of things in other media as well.
The reception will be Saturday, January 4, 2014, from 1 to 3 pm. Come, talk to the artists, see what is going on in the art scene in Mena, enjoy the coffee and cookies, and stroll around to see what your neighbors have done lately. We are fortunate here in Mena to have a vibrant and growing community of artists, most of whom display their work at the Gallery.
If you can’t make it for the reception, the exhibit will be up through January 28. You can visit the gallery during regular hours: 10 am to 3 pm Wednesday through Saturday and 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesday. And even though most of us have given our holiday gifts already, there is always the chance that you will find something on sale you can’t resist.
