Mena Police Departement: February 21-27, 2016

February 21, 2016

Jacqueline Denise Martindale, 27, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines and court costs from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

February 22, 2016

Report was taken of a fight between two 15-year-old Mena boys.  The boys were cited and the case was turned over to juvenile authorities.

A local woman reported that someone had stolen the tailgate from her pickup.  Case is pending interview of suspect.

February 23, 2016

Tiny Josephine Shores, 22, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Perry County.  She was held at the Polk County Detention Center until Perry County authorities came to take her to Perryville.

Employees at a local bank reported that they had received a counterfeit $20.00 bill in a deposit.  Case pending.

Alessa Lee Sloan, 50, of Mena was charged with theft of property (shoplifting) after a call to a local retail store.

February 24, 2016

Kaleb Lee Brumbelow, 20, of Mena was charged with possession of schedule VI (marijuana) controlled substance.  The arrest followed a routine traffic stop.

February 25, 2016

Report was taken of a dog attack.  A local woman’s dog was tethered in her yard, and two stray dogs attacked it.  Case was turned over to animal control.

February 27, 2016

Report was made of a woman’s estranged husband threatening her.  Case pending.
