The following information was received from Mena Police Department for the week of April 20 – 26, 2014. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
April 20, 2014
Keegan T. Ward, 22, of Mena was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after officers were called to the local hospital regarding an unruly man.
April 21, 2014
No criminal reports filed.
April 22, 2014
Wade H. Chambers, 35, of Mena was charged with unlawful burning after an incident in the yard of a local residence.
James Clinton Lane, 35, of Mena was charged with possession of a schedule VI controlled substance after a traffic stop.
A local woman reported that two toolboxes had been stolen from her property. Case is pending interview of suspects.
April 23, 2014
James Rickey Pierce, 27, of Mena was charged with possession of a counterfeit substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
April 24, 2014
Joshua Wayne Powell, 31, of Red Oak, Texas was charged with theft of property (shoplifting), inhaling an intoxicant, and fleeing from officers after a call to a local retail store.
April 25, 2014
Rebecca Susanne Eaton, 26, of Mena was charged with DWI and careless driving after a traffic stop.
Chad Maurice Wagner, 43, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for felony criminal mischief.
A Mena woman reported that someone had stolen prescription medications from her medicine chest. Case is pending interview of suspects.
Employees at a local convenience store reported that someone had paid for $10.00 worth of fuel, but had actually pumped $20.00 worth of fuel and fled without paying the additional amount.
A 14-year-old Mena youth was charged with theft-of-property (shoplifting) after officers were called to a convenience store and reviewed a surveillance tape of the theft.
April 26, 2014
Steven Ray Hogan, 39, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear.
Officers completed an additional 12 reports and worked six accidents.
