Employees at a local convenience store reported a gas-skip in the amount of $72.73.  Case pending.

August 12, 2013

Employees at a local convenience store reported a gas-skip in the amount of $10.00.  Case is pending.

Officers responded to an alarm at a local business.  The building was secure.

Gerald Ray Martin, 51, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

August 13, 2013

A local man reported a missing wallet.  Case is pending.

August 14, 2013

A local man was arrested for attacking his mother.  He was taken to the Polk County jail and was charged with domestic battery, third degree.

August 15, 2013

A local man reported that someone had broken into his home and had stolen several personal items.  Case is pending interview of suspect.

Employees at a local convenience store reported that they had received a counterfeit $20.00 bill.  Case is pending.

Leroy Stokes, 68, of Mena was charged with theft by receiving, possession of firearms by certain persons (felons), possession of alcohol for sale, possession of untaxed liquor, obstructing governmental operations and selling liquor without a license.  The arrest followed a call to a local residence regarding a gunshot.

A local man reported that someone had stolen a gun from his vehicle.  Case is pending interview of suspect.
