Mena Police Department – December 8 – 28, 2013

The following information was received from Mena Police Department for the weeks of December 8 – December 28, 2013.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

December 8, 2013

Employees at a local convenience store reported a gas-skip in the amount of $40.01.  Case pending.

Employees at a convenience store reported a gas-skip in the amount of $17.61.  Case pending.

Dustin Shores, 28, of Mena was charged with public intoxication after a call to a local neighborhood.

A Mena woman reported she is receiving harassing texts from an acquaintance.

No criminal reports filed.

December 10, 2013

A local man reported that two young men attacked him in a fit of “road rage.”  All parties were interviewed and the file has been sent to the city prosecutor for review and possible warrants.

Employees at a local convenience store reported that they had received a counterfeit $100.00 bill.  Case is pending.

Rodney Joe Emry, 42, of Mena was charged with DWI II, refusal to submit to BAC, and driving on a license suspended for DWI.

December 11, 2013

Eric Cearley, 20, of Mena was charged with having no driver’s license, having no vehicle tags, having no proof of liability insurance, and arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Polk County sheriff’s office.

Kenneth Alexandria, 21, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Polk County sheriff’s office.

December 12, 2013

A local man reported that a prowler had been observed on his property.  Case is pending.

Christa Marie Holliday, 23, of Mena was charged with public intoxication after a call regarding very loud noises.

Matthew Dominguez, 24, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

December 13, 2013

Cody Forga, 33, of Mena was charged with public intoxication after a call to a local fast-food restaurant.

December 14, 2013

Timothy Caleb Saveall, 23, of Mount Ida was charged with shoplifting after officers responded to a call at a local retail store.

Gary David Walters, 35, of Tyler, Texas was charged with DWI (drugs) and careless driving.

December 15, 2013

Officers responded to a verbal dispute at a local residence.  No arrests were made.

A local woman reported that someone had broken into her residence while she was away.  Case is pending.

David Horton, 27, of Mena was charged with theft of property after a call to a local convenience store.

December 16, 2013

Katelyn Echo Enyeart, 20, of Mena was charged with first-degree assault after a call to a local residence.

A 16-year-old Mena youth was charged with shoplifting after officers responded to a call at a local grocery store.

Pat-Sand Barber, 33, of Mena was charged with shoplifting after a call to a local grocery store.

Jamie Lee May, 31, of Mena and William Patrick Pierce, 30, of Hot Springs were each charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental operations after officers were called to a local residence.

December 17, 2013

Report was taken of a shoplifting offense at a local convenience store.  No arrests have been made at this time.

A local woman reported that someone had stolen cash and her debit card from her wallet.  Case is pending.

December 18, 2013

Scott Mikel Messick, 47, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Scott Lee Solomon, 48, of Mena was served three outstanding warrants from the Mena Police Department.

December 19, 2013

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a local residence.  No arrests were made.

A local woman reported that someone had beaten her.  Case is pending interview of witnesses and suspect.

A local man reported that someone had broken into his house.  Case is pending.

Terry Burnett Watson, 33, of Achille, Oklahoma was charged with shoplifting, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and third degree battery after officers were called to a local retail store.  He was aditionally served several felony warrants from Oklahoma.

Also charged in the incident with shoplifting was Sarah Pate, 18, of Umpire.

December 20, 2013

A local woman reported that her son is being threatened by an acquaintance.  Case is pending.

Linda J. Lindsey, 45, of Mena was charged with shoplifting after a call to a local retail store.

Angela Goins, 37, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Polk County sheriff’s office.

Amber Quaker, 36, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Polk County sheriff’s office.

Daniel Bravo Rodriguez, 21, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Polk County sheriff’s office.

December 21, 2013

Daniel Ray Stidham, 49, of Mena was charged with battery after a call to a local residence.

Report was taken of a shoplifter at a local grocer.  Case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for a possible warrant.

Officers responded to an alarm call at a local residence.  The area was secured.

Officers completed an additional 12 reports and worked 24 accidents.

December 22, 2013

Report was taken of a shoplifter at a local grocery store.  Surveillance tapes helped to identify the suspect.  The case has been sent to the prosecutor for a warrant.

December 23, 2013

A local woman reported that cash was taken from her purse.  The theft occurred at the office where the woman works.  Case is pending.

December 24, 2013

Shelby L. West, 25, of Cove was arrested on an outstanding warrant from LeFlore County, Oklahoma.  He was cited locally for driving without a driver’s license.

December 25, 2013

A local man reported seeing two individuals slash a tire on a service vehicle at a local furniture store.  Case is pending interview of suspects.

December 26, 2013

A Mena man reported that he had been attacked.  The case is pending interview of suspects and further investigation by officers.

December 27, 2013

A local woman reported that someone had broken into her house.  Case is pending.

December 28, 2013

A local woman reported that her wallet had been stolen from her car while she was shopping at a local retail store.  Her driver’s license was later found in her yard.  Case pending.

Aaron Michael Anglin, 24, of Van Buren was arrested on an outstanding warrant.  The incident followed a traffic stop.

Officers completed an additional five reports and worked four accidents.
