Mena Police Department – February 23 – March 1, 2014

The following information was received from Mena Police Department for the week of February 23 – March 1, 2014.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

February 23, 2014

Robert James Stine, 49, of Mena was charged with disorderly conduct after officers were called to a disturbance at a local mobile home park.

A local man reported that someone had stolen his wallet at a local retail store.  When he returned but was unable to find his wallet.  The next day he found that someone had thrown his wallet onto his front porch.  Cash in the amount of just over $1500.00 was missing, but everything else was still inside.  Case is pending.

February 24, 2014

An abandoned bicycle was located near a local medical facility.  It was taken to a city facility to keep until the owner is identified.

February 25, 2014

A local woman reported that someone had cut the locks on her self-lock storage room.  Case is pending further investigation.

February 26, 2014

A local woman reported that someone had made entry into her apartment and had stolen several prescription pills and a gold necklace.  Case is pending.

Steven Ray Goins, 39, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Sevier County.

February 27, 2014

A local woman reported that she is being verbally harassed.  Case is pending interview of suspect.

Report was taken of the theft of an earth packer from a local sports complex.  Case is pending.

February 28, 2014

Amber Quaker, 36, of Mena was served an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear to pay fines and courts costs.

Amy Robertson, 35, was served an outstanding felony warrant.

March 1, 2013

A local woman reported that all of her prescription medication had been stolen from her vehicle while she shopped at a local retail store.  Case is pending review of surveillance tapes.  Her vehicle door was not locked.

Lisa Eaton, 42, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.

Officers completed an additional ten reports and worked six accidents.
