July 28, 2013

Brandi Fay Sanders, 26, of Mena was charged with third degree battery after a call to a local mobile home park regarding a disturbance.

A 17-year-old Mena youth was charged with assault on a family member and interference with emergency communications after a call to a local residence.

 July 29, 2013

Report was taken of an altercation between a utility worker and a homeowner.  The case has been sent to the prosecutor for review.

Caretaker of a local house reported that someone had attempted to break into the house.  Case is pending.

Report was taken of the theft of a purse from the seat of a car.  Someone subsequently attempted to cash a check that was located in the purse.  The bank refused to cash the check, and an investigation is being conducted.  Authorities have several suspects.

Officers responded to a dispute over the ownership of a motorcycle at a local residence.  The cycle was released to the rightful owner.

July 30, 2013

A 21-year-old Mena man was charged with sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after officers were called to a local residence.

A 12-year-old Mena boy was charged with criminal mischief after damaging a lawn mower at a local business.

Report was taken of several young people harassing and threatening another youth.  Case is pending.

A local woman reported that someone had broken into her home and stolen several compact disks and cash.  Case is pending further investigation.

A 12-year-old Mena boy was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after a call to a local convenience store.

Officers responded to a verbal disturbance at a local mobile home park.  Case is pending further investigation and interview of all parties involved.

July 31, 2013

Officers responded to a call regarding a bickering couple.  The man agreed to leave for the evening until such time as the couple felt they could communicate without arguing.

August 1, 2013

A local woman reported that someone had stolen a refrigerator from the front of her residence.  It had been on the lawn so that she could sell it.  Someone had also broken a window on the front door of the residence.  Case pending.

August 2, 2013

Gerald E. Thomas, 53, and Susan D. Wilson, 54, both of Mena were charged with third degree battery.  Thomas was additionally charged with violation of a no contact order.  The arrests followed a call to a local residence regarding a disturbance.

Report was taken of two vehicles being vandalized.  The damage included flat tires and vulgarities being scratched into the paint.  Case is pending.

Tearesa Michelle Denton, 41, of Mena was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Steven David Reynolds, 33, of Richmond, Missouri, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.  Reynolds turned himself in to authorities.

August 3, 2013

Steven Ray Hogan, 38, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Montgomery County.

Trevis Lynn Hubb, 23, Jerrad S. Essman, 33, and Vonny L. Essman, 41, all of Mena were all arrested on felony warrants for probation violation.

Officers completed an additional nine reports and worked two accidents.
