Mena Police Department: July 6-12, 2014

July 6, 2014

A local man reported that he has neighbors who own a pit bull dog and that the dog sometimes runs loose.  The dog killed his cat.  Case is pending further investigation.

Marylon Lyvon Colbert, 60, of Mena was charged with public intoxication after officers responded to a call regarding a stumbling man.

David Hugh Horton, 28, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-pay fines and court costs.

July 7, 2014

A Mena woman reported that someone had stolen her wallet.  All of her identification and credit cards were enclosed. Case is pending further investigation.

Thomas Wayne Duncan, 44, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

July 8, 2014

Lana Violet Guinn, 27, of Mena was charged with theft of property and breaking or entering after a call to a local business.

July 9, 2014

A local woman reported that her brother is harassing and threatening her.  Case is pending.

A Mena man reported that while he was walking the track at the local high school, someone broke a window in his vehicle and stole his wallet.  Case is pending.

July 10, 2014

Amber Nicole Smith, 24, of Mena was charged with disorderly conduct after a call to the local hospital regarding an unruly individual who would not leave the premises.

Owner of a local restaurant reported the theft of a surveillance camera from the back of the business.  Case is pending.

Amber Nicole Smith, 24, of Mena was arrested and charged with possession of meth or cocaine.

Alban Robert Beckwith, 22, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

 July 11, 2014

A Mena woman reported that her son’s 20” bicycle had been stolen.  It is described as being a brown and orange freestyle bike with chrome pegs.

 July 12, 2014

Jason Scott Tallant, 38, of Mena was charged with DWI after a call from a motorist regarding a driver driving erratically.

Officers completed an additional 10 reports and worked seven accidents.
