Mena Police Department: June 18-24, 2017

June 18, 2017

Norman Cote, 59, and Christina Carlton, 40, both of Mena were arrested on warrants for 17 counts of theft of property (shoplifting). Warrants for one count each of theft of property (shoplifting) were Brenda Pace, 54, Nathan Griggs, 25, and Aquarius Lakaytos, 29, all of Mena.

June 19, 2017

A local man reported that his wallet and cigarettes had been stolen from the center console of his vehicle while it was parked in front of his apartment. Case is pending.

Report was made of an unruly passenger on a bus line that was stopped in Mena. No arrests were made.

June 20, 2017

Report was made of vandalism at a local service club building. Case is pending.

Robert Owens, 40, of Mena was served an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

A 13-year-old Mena boy was cited for fleeing after officers responded to a call regarding a breaking and entering incident of a vehicle. Case was forwarded to juvenile authorities.

Four juvenile girls were turned over to their parents or legal guardians after they were located at a local business after curfew.

June 21, 2017

Report was made of difficulties between a divorced couple trying to exchange their children. No charges were filed.

June 22, 2017

A local woman complained that she had been harassed by an acquaintance. No charges have been filed.

June 23, 2017

Report was filed regarding a verbal dispute between divorced parents attempting a child exchange. No charges were filed.

Report was taken of an unruly client at a local government agency. No charges have been filed at this time, but the report has been forwarded to the prosecuting attorney for possible warrant.

June 24, 2017

Rocky Daugherty, 25, of Mena was arrested on a body attachment warrant.

Jason R. Ward, 43, of Mena was charged with public intoxicant and inhaling intoxicants. The arrest followed a call to a local retail store parking lot.

Jennifer Hale, 23, of Mena was charged with obstructing governmental operations, driving without a driver’s license, having no liability insurance, and failure to have current registration on a vehicle.
