Mena Police Department activity for the week starting June 8, 2014 through June 14, 2014 follows:

June 8, 2014

No criminal reports filed.

June 9, 2104

Report was taken of several stolen items.  The victim was a local retail store.  Case is pending.

June 10, 2014

Terrie Bruce, 26, of Mena was charged with assault after a call to a disturbance at a local residence.

Raul Carrizalez, 38, of Laredo, Texas was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass after officers were called to a local convenience/fast food store.

June 11, 2014

A local man reported that he had been assaulted.  The suspect is a local woman.  Case is pending.

Tim J. Robertson, 27, of Mena was charged with battery after a call to a local residence.

A 17-year-old Mena youth was charged with careless driving, having no driver’s license,  leaving the scene of an accident and having no liability insurance.  This accident was  the incident involving the damage to the mememorials on the courthouse lawn at the corner of Mena and Church.

 June 12, 2014

Officers responded to two separate incidents regarding verbal altercations between relatives.  No arrests were made.

June 13, 2014 

A local man reported the theft of a trailer.  It was located at a local salvage yard.  Case is pending interview of suspects.

Rachael Michelle Wells, 24, of Mena was charged with disorderly conduct after officers were called to a local residence.

June 14, 2014

Loyd Dewayne Bolton, 43, of Mena was served two outstanding felony warrants.

A local woman reported the theft of a rocking chair from her front porch.  Case is pending.

Report was made of vandalism at Janssen Park.  Someone emptied all the trashcans and threw some the cans in the pond.

Officers completed an additional nine reports and worked two accidents.
