The following information was received from Mena Police Department for the week of March 16 – March 29, 2014. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
March 16, 2014
Report was taken of an altercation at a local residence. One of the parties left town and no charges were filed.
A local woman reported that prescription medication had been stolen from her residence. Case is pending
March 17, 2014
Christopher Lee Cant, 22, Cody Daniel Kaderly, 19, and Nathan Wesley Copelin, 18, all of Mena were charged with theft by receiving after an investigation. Cant was additionally charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, and Kaderly with obstructing governmental operations.
A local man reported that someone had stolen $400.00 from his residence. Case is pending interview of suspects.
Gary David Walters, 35, of Mena was charged with forgery and criminal impersonation after officers were called to a local pharmacy regarding a forged prescription.

March 19, 2014
A local man reported his android phone missing. He indicated that it was stolen while he was at a local residence. Case is pending.
A Mena woman reported that two boxes of cd’s were stolen from a local residence. Case is pending.
Helen Maxine Moore, 61, of Mena was charged with DWI, driving left of center, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and refusal to submit to a BAC. The arrest followed a call from dispatch regarding an erratic driver.
William Lee Copelin, 18, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for assault in the third degree.
Pat-Sand Barber, 33, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear.
March 20, 2014
Katelyn Echo Enyeart, 21, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear.
A Mena woman reported that her estranged husband is harassing her. Case is pending.
March 21, 2014
Ralph Tylor, 18, of Mena was charged with DWI, possession of alcohol by a minor, and careless driving after officers responded to a call regarding an accident.
March 22, 2014
A local man reported that someone had broken into his storage building and had stolen several items. Case is pending interview of suspect.
March 23, 2014
A Mena woman reported a break-in at her residence. Case is pending.
Steven Clay Philpot, 29, of Mena was charged with DWI, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and refusal to submit to a BAC. The arrest followed a traffic stop.
March 24, 2014
Brandi Fay Sanders, 27, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-pay fines and court costs.
Tiffany Lee, 31, of Story, Arkansas was arrested on two outstanding warrants for failure-to-pay fines and court costs.
A local woman reports that she loaned some video games to a friend, and that the friend’s brother sold the games. Case is pending further investigation.
Jacob Baker, 29, of Mena was charged with forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 17-year-old Mena girl was charged with theft of property (shoplifting) after officers were called to a local grocery store.
March 25, 2014
Justin Duncan, 24, of Mena was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
March 26, 2014

March 27, 2014
A local woman reported that while she was at work someone stole $250.00 from her wallet. Case is pending.
March 28, 2014
Michael E. Trivette, 22, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Officers observed ten individuals on vacant property belonging to the local high school. A vehicle was stuck in mud in the area. The people involved were advised to get the truck out of the mud and leave the area. They complied.
March 29, 2014
Officers responded to an alarm call at a local business. The door was unlocked. They searched the building with negative results, and then waited until the owner arrived to lock the building.
A Mena woman reported that someone had stolen her wallet from a counter in her home. Case is pending interview of suspect.
Paola Segura Arellano, 19, of Wickes, was charged with theft of property (shoplifting) after officers were called to a local retail store.
Officers completed an additional 15 reports and worked 12 accidents.
