The following information was received from Mena Police Department for the week of November 17 – November 23, 2013. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
November 17, 2013
Wendy Baugh, 43, of Mena was charged with criminal mischief after an incident at a local business.
A local woman reported that gasoline had been stolen from her vehicle while it was parked under the carport at her residence. Case is pending.
Employees at a local convenience store reported a gas skip. Case is pending.
November 18, 2013
Report was taken of an altercation between a woman and her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend. No charges were filed.
Michael Chance Martin, 29, of Mena was charged with felony forgery and theft by receiving.
November 19, 2013
A local woman reported that someone had broken out the front window of her residence. Case is pending.
Amanda Mae Duff, 25, of Mena was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.
November 20, 2013
No criminal reports filed.
November 21, 2013
A local man reported that his laptop computer had been stolen and he had located it at a local pawnshop. Case is pending.
November 22, 2013
Manager of a local store reported the theft of several over-the-counter medications. Case is pending review of surveillance tapes and verification of the identity of the suspect.
James David Cochran, 30, of Hatton was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
November 23, 2013
Stephen Ray Goins, 38, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure-to-appear on a battery charge.
Officers completed an additional ten reports and worked four accidents.
