Mena Police Department: September 20-26, 2015

September 20, 2015

Robert L Wallis, 34, of Mena was charged with battery, false imprisonment, violation of a no contact order, obstructing governmental operations and criminal trespass after officers were called to a local residence. All charges have been transferred to the county prosecutor as felonies.

Report was taken of a woman shoplifting at a local convenience store. Case is pending.

September 21, 2015

Amy Harrison, 25, of Mena was charged with theft of property (shoplifting) after a call to a local retail store.

Robert Wells, 27, of Mena was arrested on four outstanding warrants for violation of Arkansas’ hot check law.

September 22, 2015

Joshua Fernandez, 29, of Mena was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of brass knuckles after a call to a local residence. Also charged in the incident with possession of drug paraphernalia was Angela Goins, 39, also of Mena.

Kia Cottman, 29, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines and court costs from the Mena Police Department.

September 23, 2015

A Mena woman reported that she is receiving harassing telephone calls from an unknown individual. Case is pending identity of suspect.

A local woman reported that an acquaintance is using her address and telephone number to harass her. Case is pending.

Jason James Johnson,36, of Mena was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with intent to deliver and felony possession of drug paraphernalia after officers were called to a local motel to assist in a probation search.

Wesley James Weeks, 25, of Mena was charged with DWI after a call to a local convenience store.

September 24, 2015

A Mena woman reported that someone had “keyed” her vehicle. Case is pending location and interview of suspect.

Report was taken of a gas drive off from a local convenience store. The suspect later realized he had not paid and returned to the store and made restitution.

Employees at a local retail store reported that a woman was caught shoplifting items, and that when authorities were called, the suspect ran out of the store and left in a vehicle. Case is pending location of suspect.

Stephen C. Willis, 33, of Mena was charged with public intoxication, driving on a driver’s license suspended for DWI, and impairing operation of a vital facility.

September 25, 2015

A Mena woman reported that someone had stolen a barrel from her yard. Case is pending.

September 26, 2015

Shawn Allen Holliday, 28, of Mena was charged with public intoxication after a call to a disturbance at a local residence.

Officers completed an additional four reports and worked 10 accidents.
