[MENA] For those of you who don’t already know, area author Michael Reisig has a new novel out, and it looks like a winner.
“Back On The Road To Key West” is the second of Reisig’s “Road To Key West” series, and readers seem to have latched onto it right out of the gate. It’s been in the top one percent of amazon.com sales for the last three weeks and it has stayed consistently in their top 100 humor books.
Reisig says it’s a rollicking Caribbean adventure that will have you ripping at the pages and laughing out loud. His inspiration for the series comes from his years in The Florida Keys, where he owned a diving business and traveled extensively throughout the Southern Hemisphere.
“I’m really excited about this one,” Reisig said. “It just seems to have hit the sweet spot with readers. ‘Back On The Road To Key West’ reintroduces the somewhat reluctant adventurers Kansas Stamps and Will Bell, casting them into one bizarre situation after another while capturing what I think is the true flavor and feel of Key West and the Caribbean in the early 1980s.”
“An ancient map and a lost pirate treasure, a larcenous Bahamian scoundrel and his gang of cutthroats, a wild and crazy journey into South America, and hilarious encounters with outlandish villains and zany friends will keep you locked to your seat and giggling,” he promised. (Not to mention headhunters, smugglers, and beautiful women with poisonous pet spiders.) “And you’ll be captivated by another ‘complicated romance’ as Kansas and Will struggle with finding and keeping the girls of their dreams.”
You can find Reisig’s books at Books ‘n Stuff off Mena Street, or you can go to amazon.com for the ebook.
Michael will have a “book signing event” at Walmart in Mena on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where he will be offering his new $14.95 book for the special “Mena price” of only $10.
Readers won’t have to wait long for the third in the series. “Along The Road To Key West,” will be released the first week in November.
