Carole Timberlake, Mena resident, has made several donations to the Women’s Center at Mena Regional Health System in an effort to assist those parents who need items for their newborn babies. Her mission began when her grandsons were 3 and 5 years old. At that time, she was working with the Austin Street Shelter in the Dallas, Texas area. She was inspired by another caring individual who was making layettes for the local hospital nursery. After suffering many tragic losses in her own life, Carol’s passion lies in helping others, especially infants. She shops occasionally for newborn sleepers and onesies and graciously delivers them to the Women’s Center. Carole encourages others in the community to give as well. “When we hold that baby, we just don’t know what lies ahead.”- Carole Timberlake.
