The Honorable Judge Ryan recently swore in Donald and Annette Rogers as two of CASA of the Ouachitas’ newest volunteers for Polk County. “We are very excited to have them on our CASA team,” said Renee Hendrix of CASA. The couple has completed the required 30 hours of training and courtroom observation.
CASA of the Ouachitas volunteers advocate for abused and neglected children in Polk, Sevier, and Montgomery counties. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are court appointed by a judge to be the voice for foster children. CASA believes, “To give a child a CASA is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope, and to give them hope is to give them the world.”
