(JACKSONVILLE) The Jacksonville – North Pulaski School District has recently adjusted their dress code that has irked some. The new dress code is to be implemented in the 2019-2020 school year.
According to the school district’s Facebook page, students in the 6th through the 12th Grades, will no longer be allowed to wear open toe or open heel shoes, like flip flops or slides, to school.
The new dress code is getting mixed reviews on social media. Some say the dress code is a good idea because of foot and toe injuries, their kids have received at school.
On the other hand, some people question why the code is only implemented to grades 6 through 12 and believe that kids in high school are less likely to obtain injuries like these.
