Norma Jean Price, age 70, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Mena.
She was born January 15, 1947 in Wickes, Arkansas to the late Melvin Wilcher and the late Bessie Jo Bingham Wilcher. She was married to Sherman Price. Norma was a hairdresser for many years, running her own shop and was co-owner and operator of the family business, Price Mobile Homes. Norma enjoyed working in her flower gardens and loved her “Little Ladies” from her Beauty shop at Wickes. One of her favorite things to do with her daughter was cooking family dinners, as she was a wonderful cook. Norma loved the Colorado Rockies, especially the quaking Aspens in the autumn. She enjoyed traveling and most of all, spending time with her family. Norma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by husband, Sherman Price of the home; daughter, Kristi Lee Price of Mena, Arkansas; grandson, Karson Barham Crawford of Mena, Arkansas; brothers, Larry Wilcher and wife Susan of Wickes, Arkansas, Roger Wilcher and wife Ellen of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; sister, Kathy Price Baker and husband Dood of Wickes, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Bessie Wilcher, a grandson, Price Kristopher Crawford, brother-in-law, Leon Price, Sr., and her in-laws, Millard and Effie Price.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Wickes Pentecostal Church of God in Wickes, Arkansas with Brother Mark Lyle and Brother Ron Tilley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crystal Hill Cemetery in Wickes, Arkansas under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Pallbearers will be Kris Crawford, Jerry Sanders, Bill Meador, Dal White, Mitchell Tidwell, Mike Wilcox, and Rob McMellon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Philip Hensley, David Maddox, Jason Sullivan, Eric Sullivan, Scott Sullivan, Melvin Sullivan, Trent Smith, Dale White, Geoffrey Wilcher and Shelton Bohlman.
