Ouachita Little Theatre (OLT) board member, Jennifer Ogger, who will be directing the October 11–13 and 18–20 mystery, the play by Frederick Knott that inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s famous movie, Dial M for Murder, has named the cast for this play.
Auditions were held during the week of August 11, and the following people have been selected. In the female lead of the naïve heiress, Margot Wendice, is Kassi Moe. Jefferson Smith will play her conniving husband, Tony Wendice. Her former lover, novelist Max Haliday, is Lamar Austin.
First-time OLT actor, Malcolm “Mike” Moe, will play Captain Lesgate, the down-on-his-luck, former classmate of Tony Wendice, willing to do anything for money. The disarmingly bumbling Inspector Hubbard, will introduce Wayne Johnson, also a new actor to the OLT.
Other actors in the play in supporting roles or providing offstage voices include Bryan Anderson as Thompson and the Reporter, Ian Zeider as Pendleton and Scotty Jenkins as O’Brien and the Police Officer. Jenkins is also the assistant director.
OLT President Tim Hesse will design costumes and set, programs will be produced by OLT Board member, Marilyn Brown, and OLT Communications Director, Larry Block, will provide public relations. The play began rehearsal during the week of August 26.
