Otto Mueller

Mr. Otto Mueller, age 86, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Mena.

Mr. Mueller was born in Langen, Germany on November 13, 1930 to the late Peter Mueller and the late Agnes Mueller. He was married to Dina Edrolin Mueller and was a Taxidermy / Preparator by profession. Otto enjoyed many things such as fishing, hunting, reading, and painting.  He loved to travel and see the world. He also enjoyed gardening and building with his hands.  Mr. Mueller raised chickens for Tyson for ten years. He was a loving and kind husband, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by wife of 34 years, Dina Muller of the home; niece, Jeanette Johnson; nephew, Bill Weaver and wife Kathy; great-nieces, Angie Wichkoski and husband Allan, Hagen Love and Taylor Love, Jack Kerley and his wife, all of Waco, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Fritz, William, and Heinz, and a sister, Elizabeth.

Mr. Mueller was sent for cremation under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

Memorial service will be planned at a later date.

  1. Just thought I would google Otto, s name as I think of him often. I was surprised to find out he had passed away. Sad day for me. I worked with him at flag taxidermy for many years. I deeply respected him. He taught me a lot . I never knew he painted. Wish I had one to just have a little something he had done.
    He was an extraordinary production taxidermist. I wish I had one of those birds too. I spoke of him very often to people who asked me who was inspirational in my life. I always said he was. I grew up without a lot of fatherly contact. I secretly looked at him that way. Very smart man. Thank you for everything you did for me. I hope we meet again. Stewart Valentine
