Ouachita River School District has announced a new online feature that will enable students and/or their families to deposit money into the students’ meal accounts as well as monitor their account balance.
Parents or guardians can register for a free online EZSchoolPay account that will enable them a quick and secure way to view their student(s) account balance, meal activity, or to deposit money with a credit / debit card. There will be a $3 transaction fee each time that money is deposited.
Administrator of the new program, Tammy Faught, explained that this is being offered as an added convenience but that check or cash can still be sent via the student as in years past.
Faught also explained the new online meal payment system will enable parents/guardians of multiple students the ability to make one payment that will be shared among the students of that household. For example, if one student from the family has a negative balance but another student does not, it will allow those meal charges to be applied where money is still available.
More information will be provided at the district’s open house scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, or you can visit http://ezschoolpay.com to get started.
