Enrollment is now underway for the Ouachita Theological Training Institute, a ministry of the Ouachita Baptist Association in conjunction with the Seminary Extension Program through the Southern Baptist Convention. According to an OBA spokesperson, there is not another theological training program in the local area.
Any interested person can enroll. Course credits can be transferred to approved colleges and universities for completion in seminary education. There are two levels of theological training being offered. The first level is a Certificate Program, which is designed to enchance the biblical, theological and practical knowledge of students while emphasizing immediate, practical and active application. The second levels a Diploma Program, which requires a greater commitment, offers a great amount of flexibility, and the greatest satisfaction.
We have certified instructors who have completed theological training with either a bachelors, masters, and/or doctors degree level teaching each course. Jerry Taylor, of Concord Baptist Church, will be teaching How to Understand the Bible on Monday nights March 17 – May 5 from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. at the Association office. Steve Ellison will lead New Testament Survey, Part I on Tuesday nights beginning March 18 – May 6 from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M. at the Association office Conference Center.
OTTI exists to provide quality theological and ministry training for churches in the Ouachita Baptist Association and beyond. For more information, contact OBA at 479-394-3534 or at email@example.com.
