Traven Philpot, age 20 of Mena, pled guilty in Polk County Circuit Court last week to two counts of Indecent Exposure. Philpot was originally arrested and charged in September 2015 of Pandering or Possessing Visual or Print Media Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child and Sexual Indecency with a Child. Both Class C Felonies, the second charge is placed when there is evidence of “a person over 18 who solicits another person who is less than 15 years of age to engage in sexual contact.”
After arriving in court on January 11, 2016, Philpot pled guilty and agreed to his sentence of 12 months probation on each count, to run concurrently. Philpot will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.
