Polk County Sheriff’s Department – February 3 – 9, 2014

The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of February 3 – February 9, 2014.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

February 3, 2014

Arrested was Marsha D. Denton, 29, of Mena, on a Warrant for two counts of Forgery.

Report from complainant on Polk 55 near the Board Camp community of the theft of cash.  Arrested were Sean P. Osburn, 18, and Dakota W. Daniels, 18, both of Mena, each on Charges of Residential Burglary and Theft of Property.  Also arrested was William L. Dollarhyde, 18, of Mena, on a Charge of Theft by Receiving.  Two 17-year-old Mena males were also issued Citations for Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property.  Information has also been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.  All involved parties are being charged as adults.

Arrested was David E. Williamson, 59, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

February 4, 2014

Arrested was Daniel J. Roberts, 26, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear.

February 5, 2014

Arrested was Jerry W. Haynes, 25, of Mena, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

Arrested was Jarrell R. Czarnetzki, 21, of Mena, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

Report from complainant of a stolen cell phone.  The phone was later located.

Arrested was Anthony M. Robertson, 23, of Mena, on Charges of Escape 2nd Degree, Battery 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.

Report from complainant on Polk 721 near Mena of the theft of a firearm, valued at $1,500.00.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Polk 21 near Cove of the theft of cell phones and a camera, valued at $500.00.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Jerry D. Green, 52, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with Child & Sex Offender Reporting Requirements.

February 6, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 46 near Mena of the theft of a stove and a refrigerator, valued at $250.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Highway 246 East near Vandervoort of the theft of a cell phone, valued at $299.00.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Jerry W. Haynes, 25, of Mena, on a Warrant for Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

February 7, 2014

Report from a business in Cove of having possession of lost money.  Officer responded, took custody of the money.

Arrested was Kelly J. Turner, 52, of Vandervoort, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

February 8, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 633 near Cove of the theft of a winch, vehicle parts and assorted metal, all valued at $16,500.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Polk 48 near the Potter community of unauthorized persons on their property.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant in Cove of problems with a custody issue.  Officer responded.

Report of an alleged rape.  Officer responded, complainant refused to press charges.

February 9, 2014

Report from complainant on Polk 32 near Cove of a suspicious person and vehicle on their property.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Traffic stop on Highway 246 West near Hatfield led to the arrest of Sandra J. Tanner, 63, of Hatfield, on Charges of DWI and Careless/Prohibited Driving.

Report from a Cove man of problems with his 15-year-old daughter.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked one vehicle accident this week.
