Report from complainant on Trailwood Lane near Mena of the theft of electronics, household and personal items, all valued at $1,100.00.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 227 near Cove.  Deputies responded.  Investigation continues.

Report from a Mena woman of suspicious messages led to a 15-year-old male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Terroristic Threatening.  The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Report from complainant on Polk 14 near Wickes of the theft of jewelry.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Michelle D. Bice, 39, of Mena, on a Body Attachment Warrant.

Arrested was Elan H. McMillan, 19, of Mt. Ida, on a Warrant for Felony Failure to Appear and a Montgomery County Warrant.

March 6, 2018

Report from complainant on Chester Lane near Mena of the theft of a television, valued at $600.00.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 168 near Potter.  Deputies responded.  Both parties refused to press charges.

Report from complainant on West Carpenter Street in Hatfield of the theft of furnishings, electrical and camping accessories, all valued at $625.00.  Investigation continues.

Report of suspicious behavior led to a 17-year-old male being issued a Juvenile Citation for Possession of Alcohol by a Minor.  The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Arrested was Allen R. Henry, 28, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested was Brandon D. Stowe, 20, of Watson, OK, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

March 7, 2018

Report of an unattended death on Polk 282 near Hatfield.  Deputy responded.  The scene was released to the Polk County Coroner.

Report of trash being dumped by Mena Lake.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 125 near Rocky.  Deputy responded.  One of the parties left the residence for the night.

March 8, 2018

Report of a disturbance on Highway 71 South near Mena.  Deputies responded.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Jeremie E. Williamson, 42, of Mena, on two Warrants for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested was Christopher K. T. Hoover, 36, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Arrested was Carl J. Madison, 33, of Little Rock, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear and two Warrants for Felony Failure to Appear.

Arrested was Robert S. Bush, 35, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear.

March 9, 2018

Arrested was Justin R. Simpson, 40, of Waldron, on Charges of Fleeing in aVehicle, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor 1stDegree, Careless/Prohibited Driving, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and Improper Passing and four Warrants for Failure to Comply with a Court Order and two Warrants for Failure to Appear.

Arrested was Jennifer N. Smith, 30, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to

Comply with a Court Order.

March 10, 2018

Report from complainant on East Depot Street in Cove of the discovery of a grave marker on their property. The marker was returned to its proper place.

Arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department was William H.  Hinkle, 44, of Cove, on a Warrant for Felony Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

March 11, 2018

Traffic stop on Polk 37 near Potter led to the arrest of Roger A. T. Burton, 29, of Hatfield, on Charges of Driving with a Suspended License, No License Plate and No Vehicle Insurance and six Warrants for Failure to Comply with a Court Order, a Warrant for three counts of Theft of Property and a Garland County Warrant.

Report of a disturbance on Polk 10 near Wickes. Deputies responded. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked one vehicle accident this week.

Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 25 Incarcerated Inmates,

with 8 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility.
