Polk County Sheriff’s Department – October 28 – November 2

The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of October 28 – November 3, 2013.  The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts.  Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

October 28, 2013

Arrested was Tammy D. Tomblin, 32, of Mena, on Charges of Theft by Receiving, No Liability Insurance and Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and a Warrant for Failure to Appear.

Arrested was Jason D. Wilkerson, 24, of Mena, on a Charge of Theft of Property.

Arrested was James D. Cochran, 30, of Hatfield, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with Reporting Requirements.

Arrested was Kadance C. Hooper, 21, of Mena, on two Warrants for Failure to Appear.

October 29, 2013

Arrested was Jamie L. May, 31, of Mena, on a Charge of Theft by Receiving.

Report from complainant on Highway 71 North near Mena of an attempted break-in.  Nothing appeared to be missing, investigation continues.

October 30, 2013

Report of an assault on a juvenile Mena male.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on West Oak Street in Cove of the attempted theft of a live trap.

Report from complainant on Highway 375 East near Mena of $500.00 in damages to a vehicle.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Gamma Lane near Mena of $5,000.00 in damages to a boat.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from walk-in complainant of being assaulted.  Officer advised complainant of legal options.

November 1, 2013

Report of suspicious activity at a storage facility in Hatfield.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on West Boundary Road in Mena of the theft of a baby stroller, valued at $150.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant of the fraudulent use of a signature.  Investigation continues.

A 17-year-old Mena male and a 17-year-old Mena female were each issued Juvenile Citations for Criminal Conspiracy.  They were each released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

November 2, 2013

Traffic stop by a trooper with the Arkansas State Police on Highway 71 South near Mena led to the arrest of Douglas A. Queen, 27, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and Driving Left of Center.  Also arrested was Jamie L. May, 31, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  A 16-year-old Mena female was also issued a Juvenile Citation for Possession of a Controlled Substance and released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Report from complainant on Polk 114 in the Acorn community of an intoxicated and out-of-control person in their home.  Arrested was John K. Robertson, 39, of Mena, on Charges of Criminal Trespass and Assault 1st Degree.

November 3, 2013

Report of a domestic disturbance on Treasure Lane near the Acorn community.  Arrested was Jamie D. Miller, 40, of Mena, on a Charge of Domestic Battery 3rd Degree.
