Polk County Sheriff’s Department July 8 – July 14, 2013

The following information was received from Polk County law enforcement agencies. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

July 8, 2013

Report from complainant on Polk 36 near Hatfield of problems with neighbors regarding dogs.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from a Cove woman of trouble with her 15-year-old daughter.  The female was issued a Juvenile Citation for Disorderly Conduct and released to the custody of a parent/guardian.

Report of an accident on Highway 375 East near Mena led to the arrest of Tammy J. Brownlee, 49, of Mena, on Charges of DWI and Careless/Prohibited Driving.

Report from contractors with equipment parked on Highway 71 North near the Acorn community of the theft of diesel fuel, lights, batteries and fire extinguishers, totaling losses at $8,340.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from complainant on Johnson Street in Hatfield of receiving harassing text messages.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Arrested was Darrell D. Cochran, 54, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

July 9, 2013

Report of a minor vehicle accident at a business parking lot in Cove.

Arrested by a trooper with the Arkansas State Police was Royce T. Green, 37, of Mena, on a Charge of Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License.

Arrested was Allen D. Phillips, 44, of Mena, on a Warrant for Theft of Property and Criminal Trespass.

Report from complainant on Highway 8 East near the Board Camp community of a dispute regarding ownership of a vehicle.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on Polk 122 in the Shady Grove community of the theft of a vacuum cleaner, valued at $2,725.00.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Arrested was Timothy G. Bailey, 35, of Cove, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Report from a 13-year-old Mena male of an alleged assault at a community event.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 10 near Wickes led to the arrest of David E. Milam, 46, of Grannis, on Charges of Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass and Domestic Battery 3rd Degree.

Arrested was Domingo P. Perez, 24, of Hatfield, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.

July 11, 2013

Report from complainant on Polk 293 near Mena of the theft of cash and prescription medication, valued at $805.00.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Linda J. Lindsey, 45, of Mena, on a Warrant for two counts of Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

July 12, 2013

Arrested was David W. Sherrouse, 38, of Cove, on a Warrant for Commercial Burglary, Theft of Property, Residential Burglary and Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

July 13, 2013

Report from complainant on Highway 88 East in the Ink community of the theft of a battery, tools, fuel pump and diesel, totaling losses at $3,980.00.

Arrested was David D. Heard, 26, of Mena, on a Body Attachment Warrant.

Report from walk-in complainant of difficulty getting a loaned saddle back from an individual.  Officer advised that issue was a civil matter.

July 14, 2013

Report from Mena Regional Health System of a dog bite victim.  Officer determined that incident occurred in Scott County.  Information was turned over to that county.

Arrested was James F. Deaton, 67, of Mena, on a Kentucky Warrant for Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

Report from complainant on Highway 8 West near the Rocky community of the theft of an air conditioner, valued at $100.00.  Investigation continues.

Report of doors standing open on a residence led to officer discovering several firearms in an abandoned house.  Investigation continues.
