Arrested was Misty S. Martin, 43, of Mena, on a Sevier County Warrant.

Arrested was Jessica D. McMellon, 26, of Mena, on a Warrant for Theft of Property.

Traffic stop led to the arrest of Christopher M. Sanders, 28, of Mena, on two Warrants for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Traffic stop led to the arrest of Ashley D. Myers, 23, of Mena, on a Sevier County Warrant.

Report from complainant on Polk 76 West near Mena of the theft of two game cameras, valued at $130.00.  Investigation continues.

Report from a Cove woman of the theft of prescription medication, valued at $20.00, from her purse.

Report from complainant on Polk 18 near Vandervoort of the theft of fishing poles.

Report of two juvenile females receiving inappropriate text messages from an unknown individual.

Report of a domestic disturbance on Amber Lane near Mena led to the arrest of Charles D. Morgan, 38, of Mena, on Charges of DWI, Careless/Prohibited Driving, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor 2nd Degree.

Arrested was Chad E. Lowder, 40, of Mena, on a Charge of Possession of an Instrument of Crime.

Arrested was John C. Barrett, 30, of Vandervoort, on a Warrant for Sexual Assault 2nd Degree.

Arrested was Jerry L. Ibison, 31, of Fort Smith, on two Warrants for Failure to Appear.

Report from complainant on Heritage Lane near Hatfield of the theft of cash, tools, firearms and collectibles, all valued at $604.95.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of suspicious behavior on Treasure Lane near Acorn led to the arrest of Altina F. Harned, 46, of Mena, on a Charge of Public Intoxication.

Report from complainant on Bowling Lane near Hatfield of the theft of prescription medication.  Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance led to a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male each being issued Juvenile Citations for Disorderly Conduct.  The juveniles were released to the custody of parent/guardians.

Report from complainant on Polk 721 near Mena of damage to a residence done by a felled tree.

Arrested was Terry J. Baker, 47, of Mena, on a Warrant for Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law.

Report of a disturbance on Ponderosa Lane near Mena led to the arrest of David A. White, 53, of Mena, on a Charge of Disorderly Conduct.

Arrested was Cameron J. Rose, 25, of Hatton, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

May 7,  2016

Arrested was Audra L. Cogburn, 26, of Mena, on a Warrant for Battery 2nd Degree.

Arrested was Phillip A. Riley, 47, of Cove, on two Warrants for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Report from complainant on Polk 689 near Mena of the break-in and theft of tools and electronics, all valued at $200.00.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report from complainant on McQuarrie Lane near Cove of the theft of a firearm, valued at $200.00.  Investigation continues.

Arrested was Christopher R. Carterby, 33, of Grannis, on a Howard County Warrant.

Report from complainant on Edwards Street in Vandervoort of finding a suspicious substance in a vacant residence.  Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.

Report of a domestic disturbance on Polk 274 near Cove led to the arrest of Michael R. Belknap, 19, of Cove, on Charges of Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree, Domestic Battery 3rd Degree, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

Report of a disturbance on Heritage Lane near Hatfield led to the arrest of Floyd T. Frederick, 42, of Hatfield, on a Charge of Disorderly Conduct.  A Citation for Disorderly Conduct was also issued to Megan R. Frederick, 26, of Hatfield.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked one vehicle accident this week.

Polk County Detention Center Jail Population: 26 Incarcerated Inmates; with 8 Inmates currently on the Waiting List for a State Facility.
