He was born January 3, 1917 in Norman, Arkansas to the late V.R. Brannon and the late Ruth Willard Brannon. He was married to Velta Marie Priest Brannon and worked as a computer operator for Amoco Oil Company. Mr. Brannon served his country in the United States Army during World War ll. He was a loving husband, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by wife Velta Brannon of Mena, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents V.R. and Ruth Brannon, two sisters and four brothers.
Memorial service were Tuesday June 11, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Beasley-Wood Chapel with Brother Ed Rogers officiating under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Military Honors were performed by the Polk County Veterans Organization.
