The Rich Mountain Conservation District wants to remind poultry producers in the area about registering their operations at the local office. If You Are a Polk County Poultry Producer who owned or operated poultry feeding operations that housed 2,500 birds or more any time in 2017, you are required to register your facility at the local Rich Mountain Conservation District office in Mena between January 1 and March 30, 2018.
Producers can also register their facility at the annual Producers’ Meeting/Chili Supper that will be held on February 22nd.
Information about your facility will be updated at that time. There is a $10 registration fee. Rich Mountain Conservation District is located at 508 7th Street and is open Monday – Friday from 8 am until 4:30 pm.
