He moved to California with his family and graduated from Temple City High School. He then joined the United States Air Force and due to high scores was placed in the Electronic division, which started his life long career. Growing up, Bob loved spending summers with his grandparents, Lola and Elmer Allman at their lake cabin. While still in high school, Bob was a caddie at San Gabriel Country Club, which started his love of golf. Bob was a 33 year member of Red Hill County, where he served on the board. During his life, he maintained a 5/6 handicap and loved playing with the “boys” on Saturday and his great buddies on Sunday, Del Mooneyham and Carrol Lanier.
Bob Founded Test Connections, Inc. in October 1984 and has remained as President of this international manufacturing company after many years in the industry with Pomona Electronics and Everett Charles.
Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents.
He is survived by his wife Patti Jones. Also by his son Brian Jones, his grandson Dean Monroe, his granddaughter Bailey Jones, his sister-in-law Wanda Cogburn, his sister Linda Huey, his special nieces Patty West and Connie West, his nephew Dale Cogburn and several other relatives and many friends that loved him. Bob was a truthful and caring man, generous with his support of family and a giver to people, but did not want it known and never wanted anything from anyone in return.
