Steven Russell Morin Sr., age 59, of Board Camp, Arkansas died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home. He was born on Saturday, January 8, 1955 to Russell and Mary Ann Diehl Lee Morin in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
“Big Time” as he was lovingly known, was a good man that always placed family first in his life. He loved riding his 2007 Ultra Glide Harley Davidson and always was the leader of the pack. He was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church where he also served in the Knights of Columbus and had studied to be an Usher. Steve worked for over 40 years on the rivers of America as a tug boat captain for Texaco Marine and Waxler Towing Company. When Steve was home he loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and swimming. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steven Morin Jr.; and one brother, Russell Morin, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Desiree Morin of Board Camp; two daughters Felisha Bower of Tucson, Arizona and Crystal Bower of Wappinger Fall, New York; six brothers Richard Lee of Mena, Paul Morin of Ottawa Illinois, Robert Morin of Houston, Texas, Michael Morin of New Jersey, David Morin of Boston, Massachusetts and Robert Lee of Channelview, Texas; one sister Robin Lee of Brooklyn, New York; three grandchildren Talitha Heinritz of Tucson, Arizona, Peter Heinritz of Talihina, Oklahoma and Russell Heinritz; one great grandchild Max Heinritz of Tucson Arizona; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Rosary Prayer Vigil was said Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mena with Father Joshua Stengel as Celebrant with the Memorial Funeral Mass followed the Prayer Vigil. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena.
